What Happens When You Catch the Craft Beer Bug?
You go to another local brewery. That’s exactly what we did.
If you’ve been following Stevie Stomps the Grape, you already know how easily a “quick stop” can turn into a full-blown local tasting adventure. North Jersey is packed with craft beverage gems, and somehow we found one even closer to home.
This time, our destination was Seven Tribesmen Brewery in Wayne. And let’s just say… the craft beer bug is still alive and well.

First Impressions: Live Music & Good Energy
We walked in to the sound of a musician casually strumming his guitar. There was also a private event happening in the party area, which gave the whole taproom a lively, community feel. It was one of those nights where you instantly know you picked the right place.
Sure, the party limited my picture-taking a bit — but sometimes you have to put the phone down and just enjoy the moment. 🍺

Breaking Down the Flights
My fiancé and I each ordered a flight from their tap list. Four pours per flight. Four chances to discover a new favorite. And we definitely had favorites.
🍺 Plum Awakening
This one immediately stood out to me. If you’re someone who leans toward wine (you know I had to say it), this is your crossover beer. The plum notes hit your palate with a bold burst of fruit, feeling layered and expressive. It’s the kind of craft beer that makes wine lovers pause and say, “Wait… I actually like this.”

🍺 King’s Gambit
This was my fiancé’s top pick. Easy drinking. Tropical fruit. Crisp citrus. And most importantly? No bitter finish. For anyone who says they “don’t like IPAs because they’re too bitter,” this might be your gateway into the style.
🍺 Kokanilla
If you love a rich stout, this one’s calling your name. Deep roasted coffee notes linger long after each sip. Smooth, full, and perfect for slow savoring. This is the kind of stout that makes you want to sit back and take your time.
Three completely different flavor profiles. Three reasons to come back.

The Atmosphere & What to Expect
Seven Tribesmen Brewery is open year-round and offers outdoor seating during the warmer months, which I can already picture being a great summer hangout spot.
They don’t have a kitchen on site, but they regularly host food trucks and vendors. Honestly, that rotating food scene adds to the experience—different bites, different beers, different vibe each visit. It keeps things interesting — and you know I’m all about variety.

Final Sip
North Jersey continues to prove that you don’t have to travel far to find quality craft beverages. Whether you’re deep into the beer scene or just starting to branch out from wine, Seven Tribesmen Brewery in Wayne, NJ, deserves a spot on your local tasting list.
So here’s my question for you… Have you caught the craft beer bug yet?
