🍷 Discover Angelico Winery: A Family-Owned Gem in Lambertville, New Jersey
Explore Angelico Winery in Lambertville, NJ — a family-run vineyard offering warm hospitality, delicious wines, and cozy vibes.
A Warm Welcome in the Heart of Lambertville
Looking for a memorable wine tasting experience in New Jersey? Head to Angelico Winery, a family-owned and operated vineyard tucked away in the scenic town of Lambertville.
My fiancé and I first met Otto, the owner and winemaker behind Angelico, at several wine events across the Garden State. His wines stood out every time — so we decided it was time to visit the winery itself.
From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with genuine warmth by Lily, Otto’s wife and co-owner. She was leading tastings that afternoon, creating an atmosphere that felt less like a formal winery visit and more like being welcomed into someone’s home.

A Family Passion for Winemaking
During our visit, we also met Antonio, the couple’s oldest son, who is currently studying oenology in the Finger Lakes. It’s inspiring to see the next generation preparing to carry on the family tradition. He was hard at work crafting Angelico’s upcoming Riesling, which we were lucky enough to sample — and let’s just say, it’s something to look forward to.
Angelico’s 3.5-acre vineyard grows up to nine varietals, including Sangiovese, Baco Noir, Pinot Grigio, and Cabernet Franc. That’s impressive for such an intimate property and showcases how much care and craft go into every bottle.
Cozy Tastings and Pet-Friendly Vibes
The tasting room itself is cozy and inviting, with a rustic charm that encourages conversation. As the afternoon went on, the room filled up with happy tasters — and even one adorable puppy. Yes, Angelico Winery is pet-friendly, making it an ideal stop for wine lovers who like to bring their four-legged friends along.

The Flights: Mixing, Matching, and Sipping
We each ordered a flight of five wines, choosing from whites, rosés, and reds.
Her flight: Pinot Grigio, Moscato Blanco, Barbera, Miracle (Chambourcin), and Nero D’Avola.
My flight: Chardonnay, French Rosé, Amoroso (Cranberry wine), Weeping Willow (Cabernet Franc), and Sangiovese Super Tuscan.
Our favorites?
Her pick: Nero D’Avola — rich and smooth with just the right amount of spice. My pick: Weeping Willow — a beautifully balanced Cabernet Franc that hit all the right notes.
We also tried the Riesling, which was deliciously crisp, and two dessert wines — Orange Truffle and Elegante, a port-style treat. Both were absolute standouts.
Final Thoughts: A Must-Visit for NJ Wine Lovers
Angelico Winery is more than just a place to taste wine — it’s an experience rooted in family, passion, and community. From the hospitality to the variety of wines, every detail reflects the love that Otto, Lily, and their family pour into their craft.
