A Year of Discovering New Jersey Wine: Reflections, Favorites & What’s Next.

As this year comes to a close, I just want to start by saying thank you. Whether you’ve been following along since the beginning or just recently discovered Stevie Stomps the Grape, I truly appreciate every read, click, comment, and share.

This past year has been a huge learning experience for me. I’ve continued to deepen my knowledge of New Jersey wine, but just as importantly, I’ve learned how to better share those stories with you. From vineyard visits to tasting notes and event recaps, each post helped shape what this blog is becoming.

Jim Quarella takes us for a walk through Bellview Winery’s vineyard.

One of the highlights of the year was being able to showcase a handful of incredible New Jersey wineries from across the Garden State, along with events like the New Jersey Wine Expo. I also loved diving into posts about amateur winemaking, a side of wine that doesn’t always get the spotlight but is such an important part of our local wine culture.

Together, we discovered why hybrid varietals thrive here in New Jersey—grapes like Vidal Blanc and Chambourcin that are perfectly suited for our climate and continue to impress me with every tasting. Along the way, we also made new wine-loving friends across the state (and even beyond), which has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to keep exploring New Jersey wines—and wines beyond our borders—**while continuing to highlight the people, places, and bottles that make this community so special. If you’ve enjoyed following along so far, I’d love for you to stay on this journey with me.

Please like, comment, and share my posts—it truly helps the blog grow. And most importantly, I’d love it if you’d subscribe to the blog so I can send my newest weekly posts straight to your inbox. There’s so much more to come, and I can’t wait to share it with you. 🍷
